2020-2023 Subaru Outback 1" Lift Kit

I just finished installing this 1” lift kit on my 2020 Outback. ADF cog and 7” classic decals were provided - I’m happy to display free advertising for ADF. No installation instructions were provided. The website link on install is dead, however there are helpful videos on YouTube. I did the install by myself, in my garage, using a high-lift floor Jack, jack stands, air impact tools (highly recommend), metric wrenches, and a torque wrench. All was going well until I pounded the studs out of the front strut top-hat. I then realized the head of the stud was captured under a hard rubber bushing.

Grinding/cutting the old studs was my first thought, but there still would not be clearance for the new longer bolts to go in.

You WILL need to disassemble the front struts. Tools you will need to get the studs out, and the longer (provided) bolts in:
- coil spring compressor
- offset metric wrenches
- 5mm hex key

The rear struts were much easier as no strut disassembly is required.

Overall this is an outstanding, quality designed kit, resulting in a subtle lift.

I mounted 235/65-17 Cooper AT tires on aftermarket (+40mm) offset rims. 2020 stock rims are +55mm offset.

I have not experienced any steering wobble or vibrations. I took the car in for an alignment. By marking the camber bolts and reinstalling where they were, the camber was only slightly off during the alignment. Tow was not affected. I highly recommend ADF and this 1” spacer lift kit!
